Our HEAL Framework provides a roadmap to follow as you make changes in your life that build resilience and confidence!
Hone in on What You Need: Begin your journey by honing in on what would make a positive impact on your life and ministry. What change could facilitate increased energy, joy, and satisfaction in your life? By clearly identifying your focus for this process, you set the foundation for intentional and meaningful growth.
Examine Your Beliefs: Your beliefs shape your thoughts, actions, and ultimately, your outcomes. We will help you uncover the core beliefs that drive your behaviors, helpful and unhelpful. Are your beliefs empowering or limiting? How did they develop and are they still serving you well?
Acknowledge Your Response: Emotional and physical reactions play a crucial role in day-to-day experiences. Learn the basic concepts of the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model to recognize and understand your emotional responses to various situations. Discover how your body reacts to stress, anger, and other emotions through the lens of the nervous system. With greater emotional intelligence and understanding of your physical reactions, you can better manage responses, leading to healthier interactions and decision-making.
Live it out! Experiment with purpose and practice with support. Growth comes from stepping out of your comfort zone and trying new approaches. Identify areas in your ministry where you can experiment with different strategies and methods based on the new information you discover about yourself. Engaging in thoughtful and intentional practice of the strategies you have identified, with expert guidance and community encouragement, you will not only learn the concepts, but truly embody the change that builds resilience.
Root Cause Understanding and Lasting Change
Our HEAL framework delves into the underlying causes of your challenges, offering deep insights and strategies that lead to enduring transformation. Experience lasting change and seamlessly integrate these practices into your daily life and ministry.

Why Restore Clergy?
Why Now?
-
In the Exploring the Pandemic Impact on Congregations Study, one pastor stated “I am exhausted. People have moved away from the area and new folks are fewer, and farther, and slower to engage. Our regular volunteers are tired and overwhelmed. Everyone is re-evaluating their commitments; they are less engaged overall and very unwilling to make year-long commitments. Some folks are not interested in even making one-off commitments to engage with community service, participation in worship leadership, or any other volunteer experience at church.... [And what is enlivening about ministry?] Nothing that I can think of. And in 22 years at this church, that has never happened before.”
-
According to EPIC research, nearly half of pastors surveyed said they have considered leaving their congregation and over half have thought about leaving the ministry completely.
The main factors driving these thoughts are the pressure and demands from others, with relational disconnect and conflict within congregations being main reasons listed.
-
According to Barna, Pastors are considering quitting full-time ministry and these are the main reasons…
~Immense stress of the job & feeling unsupported
~Feelings of loneliness & exhaustion
~Dissatisfaction with the effect this role has had on my family
~Not feeling equipped to cope with ministry demands
~Feeling like they do not have what they need to be successful in their job
~Not feeling respected by the congregants
~Not feeling respected by those outside the church
Meet your Facilitator:
As ordained clergy, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and Coach, Rev. Kinsie M. Tate, LPCC, founded Restore Clergy to provide wellness options for clergy struggling with burnout.
Kinsie has almost 15 years of experience as a licensed counselor and served as clergy in a local church prior to becoming a therapist. She is the spouse of United Methodist Clergy and understands the unique challenges pastors and their families face.
Restore Clergy grew out of the struggle she witnessed pastors experiencing prior to and during the pandemic. She developed the curriculum to meet the needs of clergy, help them get to the root of stress, and overcome stubborn change problems that keep them stuck in overwhelm, isolation, and burnout.

That is not a problem! Many participants have expressed that they gain just as much personal insight when other participants are being coached as when they are being coached directly.
